December 2010: Crow Avenue in Corralitos

The house is in good basic shape. However, I decided to replace the aging roof before moving in. And, of course, before the roof goes up, all the other roof penetrations should be done first. This meant cutting in two skylights and setting the chimney for the future wood stove.

The carpets are removed. Alas, the old oak is not in good shape. This is almost the only place, where the termintes had a little feast. A project for later.

A Man Needs a Workshop aka Cave

The basement had potential. I could barely stand up, the floor was covered with pallets, carpets, plywood. I figured, if I dug it out and poured some concrete, the basement would make a great man cave.

Crow Avenue
It was a true dungeon. Damp, dirty, with bones underneath the carpet.
