The challenge was to find a sawmill that allowed me to work by myself and without any additional machinery like tractors and forklifts. The Lucas mill I finally decided on lets me set up the saw directly on top of the log, i.e. logs don't need to be moved. In addition, the mill's parts are light enough to be moved by one person.
